A native of the Chicago area, the Rev. Adam Robersmith was called as the Settled Minister at Second Unitarian Church in Chicago, IL on Oct. 30, 2011. Rev. Robersmith expects Unitarian Universalists to have more questions than answers and to find inspiration in many sources. In his own spiritual life, he draws most strongly from the Christian contemplative and mystic tradition of the west, his interest in and love of science and the arts, and earth-centered theologies that draw on the power and beauty of the natural world.

Community Ministers

Community ministers are clergy who serve our faith by their work in the local community. The Community Minister is affiliated with (but not paid by) a congregation.

Rev. Rudra Dundzila

Rev. Rudra Dundzila serves as Professor of Comparative Religion and Humanities at Harry S. Truman College (City Colleges of Chicago), at Broadway & Wilson.

A Chicago native, Rev. Rudra was selected by Second Unitarian as a Community Minister for in 2008. For him, the Unitarian Universalist religious goal is to love all, bar none; to become good in order to do good; and to make the world a better place for all. In other words, we love, grow, and serve. His spiritual journey has taken him through Christianity, Paganism, Hinduism, and Buddhism to Unitarian Universalism. He is an avid meditator and yoga practitioner, as well as teacher of both. “Loka Samasta Sukino Bhavantu!” (May all beings everywhere be happy and free!)
