Rental Rates & Fees

Rooms may be rented by the hour or by package. Detailed rental information is available upon request. Please contact the church office at 773-549-0260, extension 10, or office@secondunitarian.org with any questions, or to set up a tour.

Packages

Wedding Ceremony Package

  • One hour sanctuary use for rehearsal the evening before the event
  • Up to four hour pre-event set up the day of the event
  • Sanctuary and Palmer Room use for up to 3 hour wedding
  • 2 Rooms for wedding couple or party preparation

Fee: $880

The church generally requires that our Event Sexton be onsite for all hours of use at an additional cost starting at $15/hour.

Rental Fees for time beyond the designated time frames will be $150 per hour.

Wedding Ceremony/Reception Package

Everything in Ceremony Package plus:

  • Additional 3 hours preparation either before/following the rehearsal or on day of event
  • Loft with serving area for up to 6 hours (event must end by midnight)

Fee: $1,500

Individual Room Rental

Four hour minimum

Sanctuary and Palmer Room (including kitchen)
Ideal for:
Lectures, Recitals, Performances, Memorial Services
$90/hour

Palmer Room (including kitchen)
Ideal for:
Meetings, Parties, Workshops
$50/hour

Loft (including kitchen)
Ideal for:
Large parties or receptions, Children’s birthday parties
$90/hour

Fees & Arrangements
Discounted rates may apply for church members or smaller groups.

If our event sexton is required to be present for all hours you are on site, s/he is paid directly.

A minister’s fee for ceremonies and memorials is in addition to the location fee, and arrangements must be made directly with the minister or officiant.

You provide all decorations, food, refreshments and music. We can provide you with a list of musicians and caterers who are familiar with our facilities for your convenience, but are also happy to work with other vendors, musicians, and caterers; please consult with the church office to ensure consistency with church policies.

Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the signing of the contract. Once the deposit has been received and the contract signed, the facility has been officially rented. The fee balance is due 2 weeks before the event. A credit card authorization may be required as security for time overages or damages.
