Library Treasure Hunt

See if you can find the books that have these quotes. One hint: one of these books is on the library cart in the Palmer Room. The other two are down in the library. Here are the quotes.

From page 172, an abbreviated paragraph:

We know that the Inquisition was compelled to take action, in this as in other cases, by civil authorities… The civil authorities had already arrested large numbers of people and executed one or two when the Supreme Inquisition instructed the tribunal at Logorño to carry out an investigation.

From page 109, part of a paragraph:

…Where so much is aimed at, relative success alone must be expected; and as an instructor must not be surprised if every degree of want of success makes a great noise in the world, and there is little appreciation of the success actually obtained, except by the pupils themselves, who inevitably feel and acknowledge it, as they grow older.

From page 172, the beginning of a paragraph:

Having separate, independent identities and projects has been as important to Link as running joint programs.  A study that stresses independence as well as unity reflects an understanding of and respect for two very different realities.  For Palestinians, the primary struggles are for liberation, state-building, and nation-coalescing.
