Fall Fest Fundraiser
Come with me and you’ll be in A World of pUUre Imagination…2U’s Fall Fest Silent Auction & Talent Revue, a deliciously magical night hosted by drag king performer Cosmo Dragon, appearing as the whimsical, wonder-filled Willy wUUnka—a Unitarian Universalist twist (pop) on the classic candy man. Expect dazzling talents, scrumptious surprises, and an evening dipped in delight.
This year’s Fall Fest theme is inspired by the whimsical world of Willy Wonka, but in our version of the story, the factory isn’t just a place of candy and wonder—it’s a symbol of legacy, inclusion, and possibility. And, we believe imagination belongs to everyone, and in that spirit, we’re all a bit like Wonka: visionaries, dreamers, and builders of a sweeter, more just world. Like Wonka passing the factory keys to Charlie, we’re building a legacy worth passing on.
To bring that vision to life, wUUnka’s Inventing Room Imagineers are busy whipping up an unforgettable evening filled with astounding performances by 2U’s very own Oompa Loompas, a scrumdiddlyumptious Silent Auction, Golden Raffle Tickets, a Pop-Rockin’ Paddle Raise, a 3-Course Chewing Gum Dinner, and sparkling Fizzy Lifting Drinks (sponsored by Pitter Patter Parenting). There’ll be sweet activities for kids, a candy-colored photo booth, and delightfully sweet surprises behind every factory door!
-
Step right up, generous choco-lovers, and add a sprinkle of magic to our Silent Auction! We’re looking for scrumptious contributions—gourmet dinners, dazzling theater tickets, hands-on workshops or classes, personal or professional services, gift cards, gift baskets, and more. Every treasure helps create a world of wonder for our bidders!
Need some inspiration? We got you!
-
"We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams."
Join the Dreamers of Dreams and help bring the magic of Fall Fest to life! Early contributions of $100–$2,000 jump-start planning and set the tone for a night of generosity, joy, and chocolate-sweet wonder. As honored guests, Dreamers of Dreams help get the (gum) ball rolling—and their presence brings warmth, whimsy, and wUUnder to the event.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this fantastical adventure!
-
Want to help bring this sugar-soaked spectacle to life? We need volunteers to whip up whimsical candy and desserts for the room! Sign up to become one of our 2U Confectioneers.
For a sprinkle of inspiration, check out this link and let your creativity run wild!
-
Bid on a delectable variety of items donated by generous congregation members, local businesses, and community partners. The Scrumdiddlyumptious Silent Auction opens online in the weeks before the event and closes at 12:00pm on Sunday, October 26th. And don’t forget to try your luck—(Golden) Raffle Tickets will be available for a chance to win glittering goodies and magical surprises!
-
Ready to lift the magic into the air? The Fizzy-Lifting Crew brings Fall Fest to life—hanging lights, placing centerpieces, arranging whimsical wonders, and helping it all come down again when the dream is done. If you’ve got an eye for décor or a knack for turning chaos into charm, we’d love your helping hands! Please fill out this form to help volunteer for setup, decorating, and more. We'll reach out to you with dates/times.
-
Dust off your purple velvet coats and top hats, and come dressed in your most whimsical Wonka-world attire—whether you channel the eccentric genius of the amazing chocolatier himself, the flair of Veruca Salt, the competitive edge of Violet Beauregarde, or the innocent wonder of Charlie Bucket.
Want to show up as an Everlasting Gobstopper? Anything you want to, DO IT! Wanna change the world? There’s nothing to it! Come dressed as your favorite candy—a Sour Patch Kid, a stylish bag of rainbow Skittles, a Gumdrop Glamazon, or venture into the wUUnka-Vision Room and turn yourself into a human-sized chocolate bar! Or just come as your own sweet, colorful, creative self—because in a world of pure imagination, your authentic beauty is just the (golden) ticket.
