Money Matters – Pledges
Each Sunday, we affirm that our church is the community of ourselves. Its energy and resources are our energy and resources. Its wealth is what we share.
Pledging is our primary funding source, representing over 70% of funds raised each year to support all of our programs, pay our staff and maintain our building.
We are currently $16,000 behind on expected pledges paid to date for the year. If you are behind on your pledge payments, we ask for you to make a payment and help us close this gap. If you would like assistance in setting up a recurring pledge payment, such as monthly or weekly payments, or if you would like guidance on how to make convenient payments through Breeze, please contact Brandon, our Director of Administration. Thank you for all your financial support for our church!
November Results
The actual results for July through November show a small amount of operating income. This is primarily due to a successful Fall Fest and expenses lower than budgeted. We expect expenses to increase as the year continues as committees use their budgeted amounts, we are needing to upgrade our copier, and we have been incurring additional building costs (2 sump pumps recently failed).
Actual July to November
Total Revenue $ 200,460
Total Expenses $ 199,265
Net Operating Income $1,195 (excludes special $70,000 donation used to pay off mortgage)
Cookie Sale
Thanks to everyone who made our annual cookie sale a success! We raised $1,600, compared to $1,550 last year. This means that we sole 89 pounds of cookies!
Capital Campaign Update
We currently have approximately $27,000 remaining in expected work to be done. Remaining work includes approximately $1,000 for electrical work, $5,000 for flooring, $6,000 to $12,000 for garden restoration. In addition, we expect some additional costs for plaque recognition of donors, a hardscraping base for trash carts and further work on the windows in the Loft.
Capital cash in our Devon Bank capital account currently totals about $8,000, plus there are some additional amounts for the capital campaign in our Fleishman account. We are funding any gap with outstanding pledges and funds from the Horcher bequest.
Thanks to all for your continuing donations to the capital campaign!
Respectfully submitted,
