Schedule: The position is on-site with 3-4 hours on Sunday mornings, plus weekend and evening events as needed.
Type: 6 hours per week at a rate of $25 per hour (additional compensation available for outside events at a higher rate)

Position Summary
The A/V Digital Tech Producer will ensure all Sunday service technology needs are executed with excellence, supporting both in-person and online worship. Responsibilities include setting up microphones, operating the PTZ camera and GO Stream system, optimizing sanctuary sound, managing the Zoom components of hybrid services, editing and posting recorded services to YouTube, and providing support for occasional special events at the church. Maintain training and documentation with the volunteer team.
Qualifications
● Capacity to produce live virtual events, enabling participants of varying tech savviness to successfully do their parts.
● Detail-oriented, thinking through transitions and timings, ensuring scripts are accurately written, and collaborating with others to make corrections.
● Tech-savvy, always ahead with the latest updates, having installed and tested new features, and capable of training the team of volunteers.
● Proficient with PTZ camera operations, various microphone types and techniques, Soundcraft digital mixer interface, presentation software (Google Slides), live‑streaming tools (OBS), GO Stream HDMI video splitters, and cable management.
● Highly focused, reliable, and proactive.
● Thrive in a fast paced environment and adept at troubleshooting and resolving technical glitches.
● Engaging and interactive during live and digital events, involving online performers, and making online participants feel included.
● Customer‑focused collaborator adept at coaching non‑professional performers in microphone technique and working alongside professional musicians and the Director of Music to ensure high‑quality performances.
● Preferred familiarity with IT and networking over LAN, including IP addressing, basic routing, switch configuration, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
Essential Functions
● Direct all technical production for in-person and hybrid events, including audio and video, in collaboration with a volunteer team.
● Collaborate with the Director of Music, making recommendations and providing solutions to operate the audio/visual components of 2U’s services as effectively as possible, resourcefully leveraging existing equipment and working within a limited budget to optimize production quality as technology changes or fails.
● Edit and prepare service and event recordings using DaVinci Resolve, or comparable software, and publish them to YouTube within 24 hours following the established format currently on the YouTube channel.
● Handle the technical setup of events and rehearsals, ensuring the process runs smoothly.
● Respond quickly to comments and questions via emails and texts.
● Be available for church events outside of Sunday services.
● Coordinate volunteer participation in Sunday service and event tech production.
● Coordinate with the Administrator about tech needs of renters. When providing tech needs for renters, additional compensation at $35/hour is provided with a minimum of two hours.
