Gabe Barbieri
Director of Music
Gabe Barbieri is a versatile musician with a lifelong passion for ministry and education. As a BIPOC queer immigrant, Gabe embodies a deep commitment to building inclusive, connected communities through the arts. His diverse cultural perspective serves as the foundation for a ministerial philosophy that extends beyond developing a music program to nurturing a supportive and dynamic musical community engaged with the wider society.
His dedication to musical and ministerial excellence is reflected in his leadership: he taught a professional development course on cultural awareness for the Unitarian Universalist Association's Music Leadership Certificate Program, served on the Song Selection Team for the virtual hymnal Sing Out Love, and has programmed, led, and performed at numerous UU events such as DRUUMM Village, Finding Our Way Home conferences, and the 2025 General Assembly.
Gabe's prior music ministry roles were at All Souls Unitarian Church in Indianapolis and Zionsville Christian Church. Outside of his musical life, he works as a Financial Advisor at Westpoint Financial Group and enjoys playing volleyball.
