Why Work with Us?
At Second Unitarian Church, we believe in the power of community and the importance of diverse perspectives. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where all individuals can explore their beliefs and engage in meaningful work within our church and surrounding community. Our Unitarian Universalist congregation is explicitly (if imperfectly) anti-racist/anti-oppressive, LGBTQ+ affirming, multigenerational, multicultural, and theologically diverse.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to:
Make a Difference: Contribute to meaningful projects that positively impact our congregation and the broader community.
Collaborate with Passionate Individuals: Work alongside a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who share a commitment to our values and mission.
Grow Professionally and Personally: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and engage in a supportive environment that encourages growth and self-discovery.
Equal Opportunity Employer
Second Unitarian Church is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. People with disabilities, people of color, indigenous people, Hispanic/Latinx, and LGBTQ candidates are encouraged to apply. Second Unitarian is committed to developing a diverse and talented staff team. If you are excited about a role, but are unsure whether you meet 100% of the requirements, we encourage you to inquire and/or apply.
Accessibility Note
Please note that our building is completely ADA compliant, but construction is underway to build an elevator and ramp, making us fully accessible, to be completed sometime Fall 2025. Accessing the basement, and our Loft area currently requires the ability to climb stairs.
