Lay Worship Leader Presentation

  • The Loft at 2U 656 West Barry Avenue Chicago, IL, 60657 United States (map)

Have you got something to share?

Are you part of a 2U group that would like to present a service?

Do you have an expertise that lends a different perspective on the world and UU values?

Want to share a religious slant on UU values? Paganism? Buddhism? Christian? Muslim? Hinduism? Humanism?

Have you been reading a book that has got you thinking and looking into the topic deeper?

Want to share a way to emotionally get through all the craziness in the world? Music? Dance? Meditation? Tai Chi? Nature walks?

The Worship Support Team wants to hear your ideas! Worship coordinators will support you in planning the sermon, communicating with staff (Director of Religious Education, Director of Music, Director of Administration), and setting up the worship script. If you haven’t led a service at 2U before, there will be an informative Lay Service Presenter training on March 29th at 12:00pm after service, led by Rev. Jason Lydon.

For further information about leading a service, please talk to any of the committee members: Marsha Bailey Ashley (chair), Jim Simonis, Rev Jason Lydon, Sarah Byrne, Elizabeth Anderson, or Laura McKee. If you are interested, please contact Rev Jason Lydon, Marsha Bailey Ashley at marshabaileyashley@gmail.com, or leave a message with the office.
