Fall Fest

We raised $47,040, making our goal of $47,000!  Thanks to everyone who donated time, donated desserts and beverages, performed in the talent review, donated in the paddle raise or as part of the host committee, contributed to and bid on items in the silent auction.  You made this happen!

If you made a paddle raise and have not yet paid, you can mail a check to the church, drop a check in the collection plate, or pay by Breeze selecting “Give to Fundraising - Paddle Raise” as the giving option.  If paying by check, please note in the memo line that it is for the Fall Fest paddle raise.

Please feel free to share what you liked about the Fall Fest or ways to improve it.  Attendance was 104, compared to 158 in the prior year.  As part of the Fall Fest committee, we want to make this a fun, community-building experience, as well as raising important funds to support all that the church does.

Actual July through September Results

  • Total Revenue $115,658

  • Total Expenses $89,930

  • Net Operating Income $25,728

September Results

Revenue was under the adjusted budget by $10,497 due to unexpected delays in some deposits being made at the end of the month.  We expect this to reverse in October.  We are also in the process of making it possible to make remote deposits-something that hasn’t been feasible in the past due to bank restrictions on the size of deposits.  We expect this remote deposit capability will avoid such delays in the future.

Expenses were under the adjusted budget by $18,879.  Most expense categories were underbudget.

Major Maintenance Project Update

The Youth Room is back!  The room is painted and the furniture has been moved in.  A huge thank you to Lew Harding for building shelves in the Youth Room!

BIG is also working on bids for the compressor needed to repair the basement air conditioning and dehumidifiers to fix the condensation issues we have been having in the loft and sanctuary.

Respectfully submitted,

—Diane Sander, 2U Treasurer
