The Heart of Our Volunteers
One of the best things about our community is how many people step in—again and again—to lend a hand. From those who set up chairs before a service, to the ones who stay after to tidy up, to our tech crew who keep us sounding (and looking) our best, to the Chalice Keepers who take care of our routine maintenance and cleaning—THANK YOU! You may not always be in the spotlight, but your generosity of time and spirit makes an enormous difference.
Every small task around the church contributes to a much bigger mission. When you help with cleaning, or building maintenance, you’re not just completing chores—you’re helping create a safe, welcoming, and inspiring space for everyone who walks through our doors. A well-maintained church allows our programs, worship, and community events to thrive. These behind-the-scenes efforts are foundational, and your contribution, whether large or small, is a vital part of keeping our community strong and vibrant.
That said, there’s always more to do around here!
We’re looking for helping hands in a wide range of areas: AV tech support on Sunday mornings, painting around the building, changing filters, and other projects that keep our church running smoothly and looking welcoming.
And right around the corner—Fall Fest! This is one of our biggest events of the year where we aim to raise $45,000, and it takes a whole team to bring the magic to life. We’ll need plenty of volunteers to help set up and decorate, tend the bar, bring desserts and candy, and clean up after the fun is over.
I also want to pause and check in with you…
How are you doing? Are you feeling stretched thin, or do you have some space to share your gifts? What makes volunteering feel meaningful for you—and what might hold you back from saying yes? If you’ve ever thought, “I’d like to help, but…” we’d LOVE to know what comes after that but.
To make it easier to share your thoughts, we’ve put together a short survey. Your responses will help us better understand what supports you need and how we can match volunteer opportunities to people’s interests and availability.
Our church is strongest when we build it together—thank you for all the ways you contribute to this community, both big and small.
With gratitude,
